Backstop is designed to help baseball organizations collect and manage pitch data responsibly. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used.
Information We Collect
We may collect account information such as email address, authentication status, organization assignment and access status. The app may also store event data, player names, player identifiers, pitch information, timestamps and session details created by the user.
How We Use Information
Information is used to provide app functionality, authenticate accounts, manage access permissions, support exports, troubleshoot issues and improve Backstop products.
Data Storage And Security
Backstop uses cloud services such as Firebase for authentication and account data. Local event data may also be stored on the user's device so the app can operate during field use.
Exports And Shared Files
Users may export CSV files or reports from the app. Once a user shares or stores exported files outside Backstop, those files are controlled by the destination service or recipient.
Account Deletion
Users can permanently delete their account from within the app under Manage Account → Delete Account. This removes the user account and associated account record from our active systems.
